And to wholeheartedly agree with you on one point...a lot of the performance arguments between the 6MT or the competition are missing the point. Unless you want to go to prison, you're not going to experience anything near the limits of the base, and not going to miss the extra performance of the Comp or X-drive if you're not on a track, so if you enjoy driving manual, get it. That's what I did. I've never once wished for more power, but I know I'd miss the fun of rowing my own gears, and I'm very happy BMW still offers me the chance.

Well, us driving on a German autobahn will feel the difference. It can be just the missing punch allowing you to pass an accelerating Porsche etc. next to you.
Important? Maybe not.
