Funny, I've taken a lot of heat for sharing your opinion - did a one day M school (with the f8x,) and didn't enjoy the m2 nearly as much on the track as the m3. Had the same exact impression - it felt really squirrely, and the M3 felt superglued to the tarmac. 9/10ths felt easy to get to in the m2, and like I was getting nowhere near it in the m3.
