But could BMW ditch active dampers in favor of passive dampers to save weight? That would be a shocker wouldn't it? They did say the CSL cars were for the track, and you have to find 100kg weight savings from somewhere. Deleting back seats saves only about 50 pounds.
The M4 GTS was the most comfortable F8x variant due to its KW Clubsport 3-Way dampers. I was one of the people who thought my F80 M3 had a slightly harsh ride in its stock ZCP form. When I finally got to drive an M4 GTS with its default coilover damping settings, I was surprised how smoothly it rode over all bumps.
