You're right on that, sir.
It's just that I don't want to go through that hassle. I also feel that I'd be more susceptible to a break-in in Canada because of having a gun in the house (maybe I'm wrong on that perception...)

I fully agree with you on the tried by 12 than carried by 6 thing - so in the US, I keep firearms.
