Actually the F90 M5 seats are different from the 2021 G8x M standard seat. For one, the side bolsters on the F90 seat are bigger than the G8x standard sport seat. Also, the thigh extension on the F90 seat is electrically adjustable and contoured slightly different from the G8x seat (which has a manual thigh extension). Lastly, the F90 seat has additional articulation forward/backward for the upper part of the seat back whereas the G8x seat does not.
Oh, one last difference is the headrest - the F90's is different if you look closely (not just the M5 label).
On the other hand, the G8x seats get an alcantara strip down the upper/side which the F90 seats do NOT get.
