Welcome to the Canadian party! Our traceability is limited compared to our southern friends. The VIN will be assigned once production starts.
Before that, the only way to track by yourself is to call BMW Canada 800-567-2691 and ask for production status with your production number. They can only tell you whether the car started production or not. Then BMW Canada line can help you to track until the car hits Bremerhaven port.
You can have a sense of how the ship schedule looks like by checking the following link (Bremerhaven to Halifax after your car reaches Bremerhaven.
