Even if you didn't bother to learn anything about the history of the car and only bought it because it looked nice, you still wouldn't be an idiot. Most people just don't care and have better things to do. We are enthusiasts and it's a hobby. We shouldn't hold it over other people's heads and get offended because they did not acknowledge our presence.
