It is very important to do wide open throttle pulls and decelerrate in gear from mile 1 if you prefer hard break in. It's not about driving at the speed limit, but going up and down in the full rpm range and not holding rpms at a high steady position. The car won't last you 300k miles as the one with recommended break in would, but it will generate more power.
