To be honest, I don't think the times matter. There are faster Caterham's. But if any track day enthusiast turned up and was offered to choose a car out of those two for the day? You'd choose the slower Caterham and have a much bigger smile on your face. For starters that M3 is only good for one lap at that pace. Consistent lap time will be more like 1:25 pace limiter by tyre and brake temps (on non CCB cars). Still the single lap time it set is very, very quick.
