How do you like the manual for city driving (downtown Philly, etc.)? I will probably get an M3 after my M340i lease is up and I do miss rowing gears but the ZF is a godsend when I have to parallel park on a hill or deal with MD drivers in traffic. Last manual I drove was a VW GTI and I have never played with a BMW MT before.

The manual trans has hill assist so you won't roll back
But I've now had the 6MT on 3 straight new BMWs 9 years straight. I wouldn't trade it for the auto especially the M3 one which now has the strongest manual trans and clutch they've ever offered. Also this time they added manual launch control for the first time ever. It's spin city without drag radials but it's a lotta fun! Sad the AWD version doesn't offer it.
