Honda messed this up pretty badly.
I remember when the first NSX came out. People thought it was overpriced back then too. It wasn't as well regarded as it is now, with time, perspective, and nostalgia on it's side however, adjusted for inflation, the NA1 was $115k in 1991. It's still cheaper than today's NSX, which doesn't have nearly as much charisma as its predecessor. A friend of mine has the new NSX. It didn't last more than a few months in his garage before he replaced it with a 458.
