Id be surprised if thats the case (unless youve got back issues) given that they are still an adjustable 2 piece seat designed for road use, not a purpose built 1 piece race bucket.
The fact they will hold you in place correctly & allow a harness to be used is of much more benefit on track than the weight difference btw. |
I'm pretty sure those seats alone even without any harness have much better holding capacity than any F series M car ever came equipped with.
Also they look more comfortable than Porsche buckets witch owners seem to be ok driving 2-3hr to Mont-Tremblant were I track the most.
