M cars should be great track performers right out of the box. I hope the G90 doesn't disappoint in this regard.
Is them really so? 8 - 9 months prior release you had some E9x reviews?

Still, I am not too concerned and believe BMW M will deliver the best M3/M4 performance car yet and better car compared to Mercedes-Benz (AMG) and Audi (S-Models). What I do believe is C19 had some impact on the go to market / pre-presentation / pre-marketing / pre-testing timeline and BMW may was a little behind in his finishing touches and therefore we have the current situation...

Not that it makes anything better, but all of the manufacturers will have to some degree the added weight the new G8x generation has. May we see an increase in special models such as CS models and others with lower weight, etc... Kind of unfair with expected significant higher pricing but may more profit for BMW M...
Yup. I double checked. There was a Car and Driver preview in July 2007, although it might be that the US intro was later than the European launch and the car was close to launch elsewhere. I don't remember for sure, but I do recall reviews easing my reluctance to order an early car. This time, I think I'll wait.
