So does this mean that BMW really puts the new iDrive 8 with "flush dual displays" (dash and control display, just like in iX) for G26 i4 from the start, but not for G26 ICE until 03/23? I don't see the point here, because apparently both the i4 and many of the ICE models will be revealed at the same time around March this year, so why they want to make the ICE models to look "older" inside until two years, when i4 will get the fancy displays from SOP (August/September/November, still open)? This is sad. It was earlier understood that i4 will be almost identical inside with G26 ICE models, but that seems not to be the case.
I understand, if BMW wants those displays with iDrive 8 first into i4 and iX (to generate hype around those models), and not into ICE models, but why they just can't introduce those for G26 ICE already 03/2022 - or at the latest 07/22 MY change with G20. Waiting of two years is way too long.
