I ended up doing stealth PPF over gloss paint and I LOVE it. The shop that did it has worked on two of my other cars, and I've been in their bay when they're working on Ferraris and Bentleys. Their work is impeccable. You have to look extremely close to find even a hint that the car has PPF. Make sure your shop uses a high quality PPF. I have XPEL and it comes with a 10 year warranty. Take that $4500 frozen upcharge and put that towards full car PPF.

Frozen paint is a PITA to keep clean, not to mention to care for long term. Repainting anything will never look right. The stealth PPF is super easy. I just spray it down and use matte detailer in between hand washings. Looks flawless.
