The market appears to be completely rolling over. The manufacturer incentives are back and they are clearly buying down rates. For the first time in a long time, I saw 0.0% for up to 60 months on TV the other day for a Nissan truck. Land Rover is now offering 3.9% to 60 on the once impossible-to-get Defender. I've noticed all the M2 listings online and concluded it has to be somewhat of a flop. Perhaps it was just too late to get the covid bump or they're spitting them out like crazy or it's just not that practical. It does sit in at a lonely price point where it's too expensive to be a value and too much of a value to be expensive could make for a small buyer subset. Or, maybe I'm not the only one who doesn't want a Mexican built M car?
