That's mentioned in this article within the post I linked at least. Definitely the same two cars there. The article mentions it was hard to tell with the weather and that many others assumed it was alpine:

The BMWBLOG facebook page also said Alpine White... But it appears from the article it really is frozen so I'll update the thread title and first post.
