Not that it should matter after only 8k miles, but there are different compounds across the flat of the tire. I found this out on my F82 when my fronts were showing threads on only the inner edge of the tire, while there was plenty of tread left across the rest of the tire. I didn't know what was going on at the time because there was nothing wrong with the suspension or alignment, but then I watched a video on Youtube about the *STAR* tires and how they're made. And that's where I discovered there are several different rubber compounds across the tire, which would explain the wear.

But, this was after 24k miles, not 8k.

Edit: Yeah, just saw your updated pics... probably not the same experience.
