I'm ok with that actually, the 6MT will pull just as hard all the way to 6130rpm whereas the 8AT will start decaying at 5500rpm. I think you'll find that makes the 6MT feel better at high rpm as it will decay less. Check out the specs for the M3 and M4 here, the last page of the shows the difference
