None of the existing unlocks are resistant against dealership/ota updates. So the answer is yes - unlock will be removed and you need to send your ECU back again.

ECU only needs to be mailed back if you aren't using EcuTek and tuning the OEM ECU. If you have a cloned ECU, we can do the unlock remotely. No shipping of the ECU required.
