I briefly hesitated to be honest. One of my best friends has a current gen M5 that I absolutely love putting miles on when we used to go for road trips. Heck, he bought it on my advice instead of another Range Rover Sport V8.

But as polarizing as the design is, I went with a G80 based on the manual transmission, slightly lower curb weight and overall novelty of the overall chassis. While I can always pick up another M5 at some point I figured getting a new M3 stick my odds would slim out over time. You can't go wrong either way.
