In terms of driving, I like the M5 better. Much more planted and the power feels endless. The car is heavy, and feels like a tank while driving it. But it’s also nimble when needed. Build quality wise, the M5 is in a different league. With full leather and all bells and whistles on the M3, it still feels cheap.
I have tracked both cars, by myself and at M schools. I think for track driving, I like the M5 better. M3 is good for autocross type of situation.

Can you say what exactly makes it feel cheap ?
