They don't get used in the city, but about 10 minutes outside of the suburbs late at night they are really astounding. I'm not sure the value of 1k for the limited times I can use them is there. However, they look awesome, work great, and I can't lie but I smile every time I say I have laser highbeams. I'll buy them again without hesitation.
