I too is disappointed regarding the weight since I wasn't expecting the G80 to weigh more than my RWD M340i. Also, would have preferred BMW to keep the DCT in the G80 versus utilizing the ZF8 since these things would have helped to distinguish the M3 from the G20 as well as add to its unique character.

Its not really speculation at this point, its mostly the factual data and analyzing the numbers. We know what this exact engine produces for power, we know the weight, and everything else falls into place. These estimations can vary slightly no doubt, but its extremely unlikely there will be something that'll flip this upside down.
