So what... I am sure people are gonna crack open that ECU very quickly... so it's gonna be flagged, who cares... I tune this engine, it is only fair for me to be responsible for anything that might break due to my tune... if something else breaks, they will still be liable for the warranty. What else are they gonna do, cancel my oil change appointment? |
You gota pay to play, as I had the same attitude as you regarding my S55 Stage II Tune, after a spun crank hub and the cost to get back to factory status of 5 figures, I'm done tuning. BMW NA has been cracking down big time declining "covered warranty claims" due to a tune — this is first hand information that a BMW NA field tech told me. More power to you
