**My statement regarding zero difference might have been confusing so I will reiterate.

There is literally 5mm width difference in M850i and M8 coupe; thus it is fair to say zero difference. Looking at the spy photo, I can’t help but think BMW is following this trend with the new M4. I hope they don’t, but it seems to be the case.
The M850i is a wide car, if the new 4 series is that much wider than the G20 that it is wide enough to accommodate the G8X hardware and track I see little problem with a minimal difference in width between the 4 and M4.

From the G80’s pronounced wheel arch flares we know for sure that the G8X track is a lot wider than the G20’s.

If the G22 will have a track closer to the G8X rather than the G20 that’s a plus for the G22 not a minus for the G82.
