Well, there is always a compromise. There are people that I know who do not need the second row but use the trunk a lot. They'd go for the wagon in a heartbeat. That's why a lot of the people in the US have been asking for the 3 and 5 wagons for quite some time now. My greedy hope is no compromise. My seat position tends to be a bit far back. I'd love a wagon with a touch more second row space so I could avoid a SUV. I would happily give up some trunk space for a bit more second row. But even the x5m looks to be a little low there. The m5 wagon is such a dream car, but I think it will miss a couple key requirements for me, which is a bummer.
