The Macan sold 27,000 in the US alone last year. So… 10,000 global orders seems like normal demand.
Why was Porsche forced to do this to the Macan and 718? BMW still sells the M variants. Is it because their Taycan didn’t sell well enough?

Porsche and Audi invested so much money and resources to the PPE platform that they simply can't turn back now. It's unfortunate. The EU scared automakers so much with their deadlines and this is the result. Thankfully a few OEMs like BMW have at least made their next gen vehicles backward (ICE) compatible.
