What do you mean the tech dulls the manual experience? Are you talking about the rev matching?

Yes and these modern manuals are far easier to drive than manuals of old. I even saw a review yesterday of someone making the same observation in a G80 equipped with manual. Manual in the G series seems like an afterthought so I will get the automatic. For manual the 2nd gen BRZ will be my choice, sub 3k pounds, NA and high revving.
