While the transportation costs do vary for domestic production vs other countries, the destination charges are blanketed across carlines…it would be too complicated to have different destination charges for different areas and would also give some markets an unfair (from a dealer perspective) pricing advantage. Destination charges also account for a lot more than just hiring a truck or a boat though… vehicle protection, logistics and port employees, facility and property rent factors, etc. Those factors are always on the rise so pretty common to see destination charges increase at least once a year.
