Joe gave an honest review and even stated that his opinion may be in the minority and that he prefers a driver's car, especially RWD with a manual. I actually do think he speaks for a lot of his viewers.
Jay is a huge Elon fan and supports Tesla as an American company and by extension, EVs. I don't think he'd say anything negative towards the company's products or EVs given that relationship and wants them to succeed. However, I have serious doubts that he feels genuine warm and fuzzies while driving a Plaid. He owns a McLaren F1 for Pete's sake.
I had to laugh watching the video of Jay run the quarter mile in the Plaid.
Tesla exec: That's a world record man. That's awesome!

Ps. EVs are fast.
