You're right but here's my issues

1) you can't drive it in RWD mode with MDM or TC on. If you want a true rwd experience without tc fully off you can't have that. Rwd still has a certain feel to it in MDM that AWD doesn't have. I like minor wheel chirp and slippage that doesn't turn into massive slides

2) the more important reason - weight. I'm really curious whether the rwd or awd M3/M4 will be better around a track. Awd makes cars slightly more nose heavy
