BMW to continue with current design direction despite criticism
I get that BMW wants to stand out. But Aston Martin stands out. Ferrari stands out. The BMW i8 stands out. Even the M8 stands out in my opinion. But they stand out without making many of the brand's most loyal customers hate the car. I really don't see how this position is defensible. You can make an awesome looking car that people drool over without generating vitriol in your customer base.
And I'm not a grill hater. I don't love it either. I just think it could look a lot better and it's really hard to pay $80K for a car that the world is making fun of.
