I'm not even trying to shit on BMW's endeavors and I get that this is optional but as @Tag mentioned, they could of used the R&D invested in this to maybe replace those baby dick rear calipers over something a little more brawny, since the one of actual reasons center locking wheels are used is to accommodate larger calipers.

In one of the images it's stated that all that is required is a wheel bearing replacement.

Oh wow, it's an even more complex mod than I originally assumed..
I'm really having a hard time seeing the advantage to this intricate change, other than maybe regaining some bragging rights at Cars & Coffee, towards all the Porsche 911 dudes that made you feel insecure. 🙄
