That sucks man.
The diminished value is the real issue long term. I would never buy a car with an accident on the car fax, even a minor one just because I know it would be harder for me to sell on later.
Very annoying.
My brand new G80 got scratched twice (very minor) by the same valet parking dick head so I feel your pain. They refused to pay out to top it all off
