But notably not the M5/M6. This allowed the F90 to come less than a year after the G30. Not only does this provide it more time on the market, but it also avoids the awkward tight turn-around from initial release to LCI. Of course the M6 is now the M8 which makes separation seem more natural, but the staggered release was there before the name change.

The X products feature a slightly different production model since the even and odd numbered models share an LCI.
