Wife had a F25 generation X3 and now has a 2020 Cayenne. F25 generation was mediocre build quality; and the direction of BMW seems to be in a bad trend. Having come from owning E36, E46, E86 and E92 vehicles — the newer BMWs seem to have lost their way. Premium price for industry standard options and subpar build quality.

A decade ago I can’t see my myself having said that same opinion ... but I would sooner cross-shop amongst the VW group brands than deal with BMW.
