So I had this problem as well. Went in to my detailer who couldn't find the locking wheel nut as it wasn't inside the bag in the cut out made for it. I contacted my dealer and they said it's in a different place for some reason and is the case with all G80/82 they've had through. In the boot on the left hand side, there is the storage compartment retained by mesh. The floor of this compartment is removable and it is under there with the towing eye. Hope that helps.

Thanks for posting this! I read in the manual there was a tow something or other (different word for "hook") under a cover on the left side of the car. Pulled out the inflator and bottle of goo, but couldn't pull out the plastic housing. Looked at the bottom with a flash light and saw the wrench emblem. Hook is there. New to me, as never had a car that needed a tow hook.
