I look back every time, I pop to the garage to just have a look at it most days, I love how it drives, it feels minimal enough to be focused, yet still comfortable enough to be usable.

I know you agree, but as a non-biased enthusiast, I believe the current M4 iteration is the best car aesthetically and performance-wise in the BMW lineup.
As you suggest, keep that baby. It is going to look better every day as BMW digresses along its current design path.
