Did the E90 M3 really need it? Generally V8s are smaller in height and length than an I6 only being much wider. Surely it depends on many different things though and the width could have required it to move up a bit to accommodate other parts of the car. |
Not 100% sure, but didn't the S65 have individual throttle bodies for each cylinder. I'm sure the bulge is likely exaggerated for looks, but it is probably still needed for the engine, just not to the extent that they designed it to. |
