Doug also doesn't track the test cars so his handling scores are based on road driving. I honestly don't watch his reviews for his performance opinions in particular as he's best when he's going over the interior/exterior design cues and quirks as to me he's only half of the equation when reviewing the car and a guy like Chris Harris is the other half with his performance verdict.
