That is exactly the point I was talking about (there is obvious performance difference), but the difference is even bigger between the GT3 and Turbo S, since one car is naturally aspirated and the other has turbo engine (boost and torque difference).

Looking at the numbers, the difference between S and 4S is negligible regarding acceleration.
Not the case with the RWD and AWD M3/4.
The comparison in this thread is a base Carrera with 385 hp and the 4S has 450 hp.

My GT3 and Turbo S are 475 and 560.

Do the math that's about the same delta of ~ 17%.
