Because the S55 needed water injection just to make the same power as an S58 can without breaking a sweat. It's a better engine all around and don't let the fearmongers keep you up at night as nobody has road tested or driven a production G8x M car. |
Crank hub has been resolved too. Time will tell if there's a Achilles heel on the S58 though.
