Because the EU is a much bigger market, as is the U.S., hence it's financially viable for them to offer more flexibility. A big part of it is the UK being RHD also, and RHD models are built in much smaller numbers than LHD examples.
Anyway, it's BMW UK who choose what options are offered in its own market, and how models are priced. The UK not being offered the base M3/M4 and only offering the Competition model is another consequence of this. |
