Yes, but the way that Bahn360Photo wrote his post suggests he was asking why the LCI was so soon rather than why the CS was so soon. So that's the question they were answering. Is that really what he meant to ask? Only Bahn360Photo knows. I'm not even sure why the LCI came up in this thread, but I also didn't watch the video so maybe it was brought up in there.

At any rate, your are correct, the F8x CS models came late in the cycle. It looks like the G8x CS models will come much sooner. It makes sense since these will be hot sellers and carry even more margin than the existing M3/M4 models already do.

Hopefully BMW does not get too wide-eye'd with the MSRP in la-la land this time. That was a bit of an embarrassing situation both for them and for the few who paid MSRP, at least here in the US (in some regions the price was more in keeping with the "Competition+" that this vehicle actually is). The car will no doubt have plenty of value-add upgrades that are worth a reasonable price-hike. But, BMW, you don't get to command 2/3 the premium of a CSL just because it contains 2/3 of the name. Please just give your customers credit for being smarter than that so it doesn't get so awkward.
