If you look carefully at both the pictures you will see that it is quite a performance to get the car crashed like this. I think the crash must have happened when the car was moving in a sideways direction instead of a foreward or backward direction....

It looks like the driver may have come from an adjacent street as to me it looks like the car went through the yard and brick wall ending up on the sidewalk of another street. You can see from the bottom pick parts of the brick wall under the rear bumper cover and from the picture above that the rear tires on the other side of the brick wall base.
