I for one am really glad that the car is this light. Even if you aren't a fan of it, it at least lets us know that BMW M has the car's weight as a target. So if you're waiting on the next M2 or whatever, stuff like this should give you hope. So I for one thank the OP for posting this.

its misleading news id say lol they didnt really highlight the fact that the standards they use to measure weight have changed so people naturally went off and compared it to all kinds of current generation cars when its an apples to oranges comparison and came to unrealistic conclusions. youre really comparing just about the heaviest possible g80 spec to the lightest possible F80 spec when you compare the two bmw figures.
