In short, starting with 11/2020.36 they eliminated any pops and bags unless you're in sport plus, and added a rev limiter at 4800 RPM in park and neutral. Part of the EU regulations that carried over to us.
I'd think you're okay with a 6MT driving in sport plus at least.
