Definitely…the additional cost would be a rounding issue. We used to build JDM cars in highschool…and RPSCarbon clutch was ~$2,000 back in the early 2000s and I think it was good for >1,000hp and 1,000ftlb tq. (Don’t quote me on that). Point is this excuse that a manual tranny and clutch can’t handle the power seems very unlikely. Would be a small incremental cost at best.

My guess is the math says the take rate isn’t high enough.

Only recent activity that bucks the trend is the 911 GT3…not sure that is apples to apples, but I think the Manual take rate on that was >50%.

$118k with no carbon brakes seems a little steep. But I’m sure they’ll move the limited number they are producing.

Saw the comment on driveability…which I agree with 100%.

The RPS clutch was like a leg press machine. Reminds me of my 997 911 GT2, I have to stand on the clutch to shift. It does make for a hell of an engaging car though 🤪.
