All that said remember this is the Internet. People will tell you they got 5-10% off. I suspect most of that is BS as people have waited 9 months to get their cars. Dealers know they can sell everyone they get quickly

Very well stated. It feels like while overall car supply/demand has normalized a lot post supply chain issues, you have this recent phenomenon where the car world has processed enough evidence to anoint the S58 as the new 2JZ and xDrive that can transfer that power in a way that makes the last of the muscle cars (all the Hellcat nonsense) obsolete. I am amazed at how many enthusiasts outside the BMW world have gravitated towards the platform. A 4 door offering only widens the market from what may turn out to be the final and most influential enthusiast ICE package.
